here are two examples of coloured clean up. very simple. hope thats the style we're going for. it's going quite well as i's simple :)

maybe we could write down here, what everyone is doing at the moment.
I finished almost all my animation parts. just thinking of doing some tweaks like rolling eyes or so. but you can all watch the parts here and comment.
So now I've started colouring. I use only one colour layer for each frame. Hope everyone is fine with that.
How's everyone else's work going. Hope you all have fun and we'll get it DONE :D !!!

I made a colour pallete mock-up for both characters from what I could find around from concept art.
It its ok by you guys I'll clean it up a bit and swatch it so we can work off it when we colour.

Whos doing what?

The assistant animator was put down on the dope sheets to overview that scene for continuity purposes.

I didn't put in the boat moving. Animate the boat where you see fit within the time frame of the shot. I didn't put in the timings because i wanted the movement of the boat to be organic rather than planned

here are the other BGs in progress. I will try to find some further ref-pics to use shadows and lighting to make the pictures clearer

My first dope sheets sort'd. Sorry if its a little rough. The sheet is actually 25 frames per second, but as long as you keep with the timescale of the action then everything should go alright. Good luck, Jamie.

Another storyboard

Hi, some more outlines. looks a bit confusing still, as I didn't start colouring yet and the lines are overlapping. but since Jamie called me yesterday and said we should meet up before continuing colouring I left it at this stage, since this is a very complicated BG of 8layers. The outlines are a lot thinner than from the layout, but the rest is all the same. the line strenght varies and the more it goes to the back the thinner the lines get.

Linestyle.

Hey guyz.
This took me like 10mins to do so Ignore the shoddy proportions!
But just thought it might be good to do some Colour/Line tests over Janines backgrounds regarding rachels comments yesterday about cleaning up the lines a bit.
The colours of the characters seem to go well with the backgrounds and dont seem to swallow them up too much.. and maybe if they were less sketchy it would help as well?
I dont know.
Just tossing about some ideas. : >
But it takes like 5 secounds to colour them up with solid colour. Less work for us!

changed the colour in this one as i heard people want it darker. if anyone would like to make some changes themself i could give you the photoshop files

hi another BG. tried to keep it really simple. only one colour + black and white for each part. please comment asap on it.

hay all here are the layouts so far

here is a coloured BG. I tried using thick outlines, but you could hardly see and contrast because it just swallowed all the colours so I redrew the outlines. we have to talk about it tomorrow.

just found some swatches, with which I worked last year. What do you think about using them for the BGs? We can still put a filter over them at the end.

ps. I think the 2nd image is my favourite, but you can pick and choose.
I've made it to A4 dimentions, and with a white border just in-case it prints wierd at least it'll merge into the paper!
